4 Kids...Metro Atlanta's Biggest and Best Children's Consignment Sales!

Just a
quick reminder... Since most of our volunteers are parents of young children or
expecting, that translates into a lot of last minute emergencies. We ask
therefore, that every volunteer please find a "back up volunteer" willing to
work your shift in case of sickness, car trouble, babysitter issues etc.
Thanks so much and we look forward to seeing you soon!!!
MISC. VOLUNTEER INFORMATION
 | Because the sales takes a great deal of work
from our volunteers, only children 10 and older allowed to
accompany you during your shift. |
 | If you are expecting or have
physical challenges, please be aware that the sale setup shifts
(during the seller drop off) and breakdown shifts (Sat at 1pm) require
physical labor with a good bit of walking/bending etc. It may be best
for you to select other shifts as there are no sitting down positions
on those days. :) If you have a physical limitation that
would require a sitting position, please let us know through the
"Contact Us" link prior to the event. |
|
 | In all fairness, we ask that no
set up volunteers pre-shop
by looking at the items before the presales. All should stay in their assigned
areas and not look around....we know it's hard! |
 | The volunteer presale is for individuals only. Our
policy is to not allow stores/daycares/preschools etc. to shop during
the volunteer presale. |
|
PREVIEW SALE INFO.
 | After you register online,
you will receive a volunteer confirmation along with your volunteer
pass. Please cut out your pass and bring to the presale along
with a picture ID. |
 | Each volunteer shift will
admit 1 adult to enter the presale. If you want a
spouse/relative or friend to shop with you, they must also volunteer
for a 4 1/2 hr shift. You can, however, work a shift and give
your pass to another adult. We have many hubbies who work a
shift for their spouses etc. |
|
 | Only children 10 years and
older will be allowed at the preview sale, and they must stay with
their parent at all times. (This includes
no infants in front packs/back packs) Sorry, but there are no
exceptions. While
we know this is a major inconvenience to those with young children and/or nursing mothers, the no children policy
continues to be the most requested item from the sellers and volunteers. Please try to understand that it only
takes one crying baby or toddler to change the lively atmosphere of the sale into great tension. |
|
 |
We ask that no one
line up their baskets and then leave the waiting area.
In fairness to everyone we ask that no baskets be left to hold your space (other than quick
"bathroom breaks"), and that you do not hold a place for a friend or relative in line. |
|
 | Most shoppers bring a laundry basket or box with a rope attached to
"drag" their bargains behind them. No wagons, strollers or
rolling racks will be allowed due to lack of space at the presale. |
|
 | Our sale has always been known for it's polite
shoppers. To continue this tradition we ask that you go through each clothing item one at a time on the
rack. Please do not take an item off the rack unless you intend to purchase it.
If you have
selected items that you no longer want to purchase, we ask (beg and
plead) that you please place the clothing back into the appropriate
gender and size on the racks. Please do not leave unwanted
clothing in a stack somewhere, or worse yet, put them on the racks in
the wrong sizes. We can understand not wanting an item due to stains, tears,
defects etc., but your "reject" stack should be very small compared to your "keep" stack.
If you do find an item with a stain or tear, please give it to a volunteer. |
|
 | If you leave a stack of items unattended, you may find
a note saying, "This stack will be put back out in 10 min." If you miss the warning, you may find
your stack gone. Ooops! |
|
 | If you want to purchase a
large item, please write your name, time and phone number on the
middle section of the tag. Then remove the perforated lower
portion of the tag to take to the cashier. Please do not remove the
complete tag, as we
can not sell an item if the top section has been removed.
All large items with the lower portion of the tag removed have been
sold to other customers. Once your name
is written on the tag you must purchase that item as it is stopping
other customers from purchasing the item. Anyone who attempts to scratch out his or her name
(or another person's name) may be asked to leave. :( |
|
 | If anyone sees someone not following our simple
shopping guidelines, please notify a volunteer so we can discuss the problem with them. We really want this
to be a fun, bargain collecting, shopping experience for everyone!! |
|
CANCELLATION POLICY
 | We ask that everyone signing up to
volunteer also find a back-up volunteer to fill your shift in case you are unable to work at the last minute due
to an emergency, sickness, car trouble etc. |
|
 | If you find you are unable
to volunteer and there is more than fourteen days prior to your
scheduled shift, please log in to cancel your shift or email us using
the "Contact Us" link above. We will fill your shift from our
volunteer waiting list. We will see you next season. |
|
 | If you cancel within
fourteen days of your scheduled shift, we will ask you for your
back-up volunteer's name and number. If you are unable to find a
backup and you cancel within fourteen days of your shift, you will not be able to volunteer in the future UNTIL you have
worked the following penalties. |
|
| If you cancelled
within 14 days without a backup worker
and you did not attend the presale.... |
You must work one,
4 1/2 hour penalty shift at an upcoming sale without attending the presale, or
you must volunteer for two shifts with admittance into the 1 shift
presale. |
| If you cancelled
or were a "no show" after attending the presale.... |
You must work two, 4
1/2 hour penalty shifts at an upcoming
sale without attending the preview sale. You can then register as a
"normal" volunteer the following season. |
